Barn Living

Located between the city and countryside of Haarlem this old farmhouse with stables, haystack and meadows is a lovely, unique property. Befriended families with same ideals and sustainable lifestyle bought this farmhouse together.

One family will renovate the main house. The other family needs my help to design all possible options to adjust the stable into barn living for a family of five. Original details need to be kept, high windows are a must to enjoy the scenery and a fireplace with cosy loungers to cuddle together on long winter nights are on top of their wishlist. They dream about a life of simple pleasures; kids building treehouses, vegetable gardens, sunflowers and fresh eggs.

Relaxed and hands on …. looking forward to work with them the coming year(s).
